Law Enforcement Requests Policy
Version:
We disclose member data to authorities only when the law requires it, and we give only what the request covers.
Valid requests
Requests must come in writing from an official authority, name the account, and be based on a legal process valid in Israel or recognised there. Send them to support@kohvra.com with "Law enforcement request" in the subject.
What we check
That the request is genuine, legally valid, and no broader than necessary. We push back on requests that are vague or too wide.
What we can provide
Only what we have. We keep little: we do not store location history or ID documents. Deleted account data is gone from the live database at once, and then from backups on the provider's schedule.
Telling the member
We tell the member about a request before disclosing, unless the law forbids it or telling them would put someone at risk.
Emergencies
If there is an immediate risk of death or serious injury, we may share the minimum necessary data without a formal legal process, and we record why.
Transparency
We do not publish a running count of requests today. If that changes we will say so here.
