Terms of Service
Version:
Effective 2026-10-01. These terms are an agreement between you and Igal Tal Merom ("KAA", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using KAA you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. KAA was called KOHVRA until October 2026; the new name changes nothing in these terms or in your account. This English version is the binding one; the Hebrew version is a translation for convenience.
What KAA is
KAA is an invitation only club for people spending time on the islands where it is open (its destinations; members use it in Thailand today). It shows places, events and villa parties, lets members plan trips, and helps members see which friends are around. It is a tool for meeting people. It is not an event organiser, a travel agent, a venue or a security service.
Who can join
You must be at least 18, be invited by an existing member, and be approved by a person on our team. You must give accurate information, including your real first name, a real photo of yourself and your true date of birth. One person, one account.
Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@kohvra.com if you think someone else has used it.
Invitations
Each member receives a limited number of invitation links. Only invite people you know and trust. If people you invite repeatedly break these terms, we may reduce or remove your ability to invite.
Your content
What you post stays yours: your profile, photos, tips, plans, recommendations, activities, and event and place submissions. You allow us to store, show and process it anywhere, without payment and not only for us, but only to run and improve KAA. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies the law requires us to keep.
Places, recommendations and activities you add are reviewed by a person on our team before other members see them. We may correct a place's details or a recommendation's wording, decline it, or remove it later, and we tell you when we approve or decline it and why. A recommendation is your own opinion, shown with your name. Do not use it to advertise or sell, and add only photos you took or may use. You cannot change a recommendation after you send it; you can delete it at any time.
When you create an account we record which version of these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines you accepted. Villa hosts also accept the Villa Party and Event Host Terms when they submit a party.
Zero tolerance for abuse
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive members: harassment, threats, hate, sexual content without consent, anything sexual involving someone who may be under 18, scams and impersonation. Follow the Community Guidelines and the Acceptable Use Policy.
You can report any member, event, villa party, place, tip, plan, recommendation, activity, crew, driver in the directory or tip about a driver from the flag or the Report button next to it, and block any member from the same place. A person on our team reviews every report within 24 hours, and urgent ones within 4 hours, and we remove content and members that break the rules. The Moderation Policy explains how.
Events, parties and places
KAA does not organise, host, supervise or inspect events, villa parties, places, the plans that members post in "Who's in?" or the activities they post on the Island tab, and does not check the people who run them or go to them. Approval means a person reviewed a profile, not that we vouch for anyone. Recommendations are members' own opinions. KAA does not check what they say. An entry price on an activity is paid to its leader, never through KAA.
The driver directory lists independent taxi and boat drivers who agreed to be listed. KAA is not a transport provider, a booking service or an agent. It does not employ, vet, license, insure or supervise drivers, does not set or guarantee prices, and is not a party to any ride. You agree the price and the ride with the driver, and you ride at your own risk. Ratings and tips are members' own opinions; KAA does not check them. You decide whom to meet and where to go, and you go at your own risk.
Obey the law of the country you are in. Drug laws are strict in our destinations: in Thailand, possessing or using drugs can lead to arrest, heavy fines and prison, including at parties. Nothing in KAA is safety, legal or medical advice. In an emergency call the local emergency numbers; the Safety Guidelines list them for each country (in Thailand the Tourist Police on 1155, the police on 191, an ambulance on 1669).
Your own risk
As far as the law allows, you use KAA and act on what you see in it at your own risk. In particular, we are not responsible for:
- events, villa parties and places, including injury, illness, loss, theft or damage there, or any hazard on the way (roads, boats, the sea, the weather);
- sharing your location: you choose who sees it and how precisely, you can stop at any time, and we are not responsible for how the people you share it with use it, or for anything that happens because they know where you are;
- what other members say or do, online or when you meet;
- your decisions about whom to meet, where to go, what to take, and how you travel.
If a claim is brought against us because of what you posted, did or organised, or because you broke these terms or the law, you will cover the reasonable costs it causes us, as far as the law allows.
Information from others
Some of what you see comes from others and is shown as it is, without our responsibility for its accuracy:
- Place ratings, reviews, opening hours, photos and place search come from Google. Your device loads them directly from Google; we store only Google's place ID.
- Event listings come from phangan.events and from members.
- Places and map data come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and the map from MapTiler, or from Google Maps when we switch it on.
It may be out of date or wrong. Check before you go.
Sponsored placements and partner links
A business may pay KAA to be shown: as a partner with a perk for members, as a featured place, or with a boosted event. Every paid placement is labelled Sponsored. A featured place or a boosted event sits in its own labelled spot; it never changes a rating, a distance, opening hours or the order of a list, and a KAA pick is never for sale. A perk is the partner's own offer: the partner decides it and honours it, and may change or end it.
When we show links to book flights, stays, a table or other services, some may be affiliate links (partner links): we may earn a commission if you book or buy, at no extra cost to you. We mark them where they appear, and they open through our own address so that we can count clicks. Places, events and people are never ranked by commission.
Copyright
Post only what you created or have the right to share. To report content that infringes your rights, follow the Content and Copyright Policy and write to support@kohvra.com.
Event listings and posters belong to their organizers and are shown with credit to the source. If you organize an event and want its listing or poster updated or removed, write to support@kohvra.com and we will act on it promptly.
Suspension and deletion
We may warn you, limit features, suspend or remove your account if you break these terms or put others at risk. We tell you why unless that would put someone at risk, and you can ask us to look again, as the Moderation Policy explains. When safety requires it we act without warning.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile. The Account Deletion and Data Retention Policy says what is removed and what is kept.
No promise of availability
We work to keep KAA running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, have errors, or change.
Liability
We are responsible, as the law provides, for harm caused by our negligence or by our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for what other members do, for events, villa parties and places we do not run, or for harm we could not reasonably foresee. Nothing in these terms limits any liability the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
Small changes, such as clearer wording or fixed typos, take effect when we post them. We announce a material change in the app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, except a change required by law or for security, which applies at once. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. You may bring a claim in the court nearest to where you live in Israel; otherwise the courts of Tel Aviv decide. If you live outside Israel, you may also have the right to bring a claim where you live.
